Earlier this year, the Pike County Economic Development Corporation printed Where to Go for What in Pike County- Navigating Business Services.  This publication is a guide for entrepreneurs starting new businesses.  You can pick up a copy at the Pike County Chamber of Commerce or at the University of Illinois Extension office.

Pittsfield Main Street, www.pittsfield-il.org, with whom the Chamber shares an office, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reestablish and maintain downtown Pittsfield as the heart of the community. Pittsfield Main Street works to enlarge and strengthen the downtown's role as a hub for businesses, services, arts & entertainment, historic preservation and tourism.  Their telephone number is 217-285-1817.

Illinois workNet provides a unique, free and user-friendly Internet portal providing easy access to workforce information and services for business. In addition, they have provided an excellent 20 page booklet called "Employer Services Initiative FASTFACTS, A Ready Reference Guide for Pike County Businesses" available as a PDF download.
