Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners.
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they're working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America's global competitiveness.
Join us to celebrate National Small Business Week from April 29 to May 5, 2018. Last year during National Small Business Week, the Chamber teamed up with the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and Microsoft’s 4MFG to bring you several recorded events through our Microsoft Community Connections relationship. This year we are sharing recorded videos that are part of the Small Town Trends/Save our Town series. The Chamber has access to a library of topics that we are looking forward to sharing with you in a small informal setting condusive to discussion and true idea sharing. The topics are listed here.
Each of these of recorded webinars will provide value to Pike County Chamber of Commerce membership during National Small Business Week. They will be shown at the Chamber office in an informal setting. Each will be offered several times during the week to allow you to choose a time that best suits your business needs. The schedule for the week is below:
