The Pittsfield Lions Club is the sponsor of the 2012 Pike County Pig Days Celebration to be held July 13 & 14, 2012 in Pittsfield, on the Courthouse grounds.  This year marks the 44th anniversary of one of Pike County’s favorite summertime events.  Festivities include a vendor fair, family entertainment, the Little Miss Piglet contest, and much more!   Vendor spots are still available.  A Vendor Information & Registration Form is available to download.

Pike County Pig Days is a fundraising events for the Pittsfield Lions Club and proceeds are channeled back into our community through the many individual projects and community organizations the Lions Club assists each year.  These include funding eye examinations for county residents,  purchasing eyeglasses for those in need in Pike County, collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids for use worldwide, and helping the Pittsfield, Griggsville, and Perry libraries purchase large print books for sight-impaired readers.  The Pittsfield Lions Club also assists the Pike County Health Department, Mounted Angels, many youth organizations in Pike County (such as the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts), and is involved in many other projects.
