Benefits
Becoming
a member strengthens the Chamber's efforts
in our county to promote business and tourism.
This helps our area's economy become more
prosperous which means your patrons will increase
in number and have more money to spend.
Chamber membership offers opportunity. You
can attend many activities and festivals each
year which gives you the chance to meet other
business and professional people and to tell
them about your business.
The Chamber represents and promotes the area's
economy and encourages business and industrial
investment, broadening the tax base and providing
employment. Your business interests are represented
at the local, county, state, and federal levels.
Our professional staff knowledgeable about
the issues of concern to the business community
and will provide leadership and research assistance.
Your membership investment is important to
the Chamber's operation, and we hope you can
attend meetings or work on a committee, such
as the Ambassadors. If you can't find time
to participate as often as you would like,
the Chamber will appreciate your presence
in our membership directory, and we now are
offering Member Pages,
that will provide great benefit to your business
from being promoted on the official Pike County
website!
The Chamber is a business and it incurs costs
of operations and expenses similar to any
other type of business. Those expenses are
apportioned among our members--individuals
and firms representing all types of business,
industry and professionals. Chamber membership
is an investment in the present and future
welfare of our county.
Annual Chamber membership fee ranges from
$50 for a one person business membership to
$500 for large employee firms, financial institutions,
and utilities. In order to give the Chamber
a steady and dependable income on which to
plan its community development programs, memberships
are understood to be continuous. For income
tax purposes, your investment is considered
an ordinary business expense. If you are interested
in joining the Chamber, please contact the
executive secretary, by using the contact
information provided below. When joining the
Chamber, please indicate if you would like
to serve on our Ambassadors committee. Future
committees are to be announced as well. Thanks
from the Pike County Chamber of Commerce!
