Locally owned and operated Logan Agri-Service,
Inc., in business since 1962, is located just two
miles north of I-72, exit 35. The Griggsville based
company primarily serves agricultural producers
in west central Illinois with fertilizer, field
seeds, crop protection chemicals, and petroleum;
however, products are shipped throughout Illinois,
Missouri, and eastern Kansas. Logan Agri-Service,
with two Certified Crop Advisers on staff, recommends
products supplied by all major agricultural suppliers
including BASF, Dow, DuPont, Monsanto, Zeneca, LG
Seeds, Novartis, and Asgrow.
The Logan Agri-Service main facility, constructed
in 1988, meets or exceeds all current Illinois Department
of Agriculture regulations to protect the environment.
During peak seasons, nearly 25,000 gallons bulk herbicides,
1200 tons dry bulk fertilizer, 200 tons anhydrous
ammonia, and 500 tons liquid fertilizer is stored
at the site. A small satellite facility, located north
of Perry, is used for distribution of anhydrous ammonia.
A professional staff of custom applicators utilizing
state-of-the-art application equipment including two
variable rate units using the GPS system and seven
liquid applicators apply crop protection chemicals,
fertilizer, and ag limestone in a six county area
in western Illinois.
Visitors to Pike County will find a self-serve,
unattended fuel site at the main Griggsville facility,
just one mile south of Griggsville on IL Route 107.
