Pike County Chamber's Monthly Networking After Hours

Networking is a key reason many businesses join a Chamber of Commerce. Each month the Pike County Chamber  offers its members and the business community at large an opportunity to get together in an informal setting and network. These events are usually on the fourth Thursday of the month, and are held at businesses around the county. 

The Chamber “Networking after Hours” event serves several purposes.  Although it is an opportunity for the host business to show off its office or store and share what they have to offer with Chamber members and the public, the big pay-off is to the individuals who attend from other businesses.  It is an opportunity for business leaders to meet and exchange information with other members of the Pike County business community.  It is a chance to talk informally, share goals and concerns, and even generate leads. 

Although Pike County is a closely knit community and members and other business leaders may know many other business people, the Chamber has observed the interaction at these events and is convinced that everyone who attends walks away with something of value for their business.  Where else can you make such valuable contacts right in your own backyard, and for free? You’ll never know unless you come out to one of these events. 

Our September Networking after Hours was Thursday, September 23rd at Illinois Xtreme Whitetail Lodge near Perry, Illinois.  Joy Berhorst represented the Lodge, and was a fabulous hostess.  She had great help from Nicole Liehr from the Pike Press, and Jeff Hanold from Ridge View Winery.  We had a great turnout and everyone was impressed with the Lodge. 

        

The October "Networking After Hours" was hosted by Glacial Energy and held on October 23rd at the Pittsfield Community Center.
