Information from the Chamber's 2010 Annual Meeting (held Thursday, March 25th, 2010) at the Crossroads in Pittsfield:
At the Chamber's Annual Dinner Meeting each year, several awards are given. The Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards have been presented for a number of years, In 2010, the Community Leadership Award was added, as well as a new recognition- the Fickle Goddess of Fortune.
Business of the Year
The Business of the Year Award recognizes a successful Pike County Chamber member business that has demonstrated integrity and community involvement.
At the 2010 Annual Dinner Meeting held March 25th, Jim Brown and County Market were presented the 2009 Business of the Year Award for all County Market does to support Pike County events and our schools, and Jim's work bringing boxing to Pike County youth:

Nominations for Business of the Year are taken from the Chamber membership and the community at large. Voting is done by the Chamber Board and Chamber Ambassadors. Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a Pike County resident who volunteers his or her time to support Pike County and his or her community.
At the 2010 Annual Dinner Meeting held March 25th, Cindy Gerard was presented the 2009 Volunteer of the Year Award for all she does to support Farm Safety 4 Just Kids, and many other projects:

Community Betterment Award
The Community Betterment Award was presented for the first time in 2010, but will become an annual recognition. The Community Betterment Award is intended to recognize the contributions of an individual or group of individuals whose vision and actions have bettered the city or village in which they live. The 2009 Community Betterment Award was presented March 25th, 2010 to the Griggsville Uptown Beautification Committee for their efforts to repair and renovate uptown Griggsville.
