2017 Pike County Chamber Annual Report

Great things are happening in Pike County! Tourism is up, old businesses are expanding, and new businesses are popping up everywhere, and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be part of that energy and growth. In September of 2016 we were present at the groundbreaking for the New Haymakers Store on W. Washington in Pittsfield, and celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting in of 2017.  In August of 2017 we participated in the groundbreaking for a new Ace Hardware store in Pittsfield and look forward to their opening in April of 2018.

We worked hard in 2017 to focus on our mission—to make Pike County a great place to live, work, and visit. To that end, the Chamber has sponsored several informational sessions throughout the year aimed at helping our members manage and grow their businesses.  We have also been involved in initiatives to promote greater entrepreneurship within the county. We work with a myriad of partners—the Abe Lincoln Project of Pike County, Pike County Economic Development Corporation, the Pike County Historical Society, and the Two Rivers Council of Regional Officials ( including the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee) to name a few—to leverage resources to promote Pike County, create opportunities for our members, and to give our young people a desire to stay and the tools to create their futures in Pike County.

In short, the Chamber works for you, our members, to help you strive and thrive, to infuse information and energy into our communities, and  to create a climate in which even more great things can happen in Pike County. We thank each of you for your continued membership and your dedication to making Pike County a wonderful place to live.

The Chamber is pleased to present our 2017 Annual Report, which summarizes our activities in 2017 and our plans for 2018.
